Our Beliefs

PRAYER

We believe that every believer should pray, every day of their lives as instructed to us by our Lord Jesus Christ in Luke 18: 1 – 8. We believe that prayer is the most important aspect of a believer’s life. In Life Giving Faith Ministries we spend much time in prayer, fasting and learning.

FASTING

We believe that every believer should fast regularly as the Lord Jesus has instructed us from the book of Mark 9: 29. We believe that there are some situations that will require prayer and fasting. It is also very important to sacrifice water, food and time, in order to spend time in the presence of God.

In Life Giving Faith Ministries, we believe in 3 types of fasting:

1. Absolute dry fast: This fasting means that you do not drink water or eat any food at all for the entire duration of the fasting.
2. The medium dry fasting: In this fasting you are able to drink water only.
3. The midnight to 6pm fast: This fasting is when you fast from midnight until 6pm in the evening.

GIVING

Giving is one of the most benefiting aspect of every believer’s life. It is written in the book of Luke 6: 38.
 

In Life Giving Faith Ministries, we believe in 6 types of offerings:

1. Tithe: We believe in paying tithe to the house of God at any occasion that you receive an income. Tithe is the 10% of your income as an individual or as a business or organisation. We do this as it is written in the book of Malachi 3: 8 -12, and we do it in the Life Giving Faith Ministries because we love God, we love our church and because we love our pastor. We pay tithe to support the next generation of our church, 1 Corinthians 4: 7.
2. Free will offering: We believe in free will offering as it is commanded in the Deuteronomy 16: 16 – 17. In Life Giving Faith Ministries International we give because everything we have and will ever have comes from the Lord. Every service program of the church, we appear before the Lord with the best we can, in any service we attend.
3. Seed sowing to the ministry: We believe in sowing seeds so that we keep the church going. Seed could be monetary or material giving. We strongly believe in sowing seeds in the ministry as we have learnt from the book of Ecclesiastes 11: 1
4. Seed sowing to the pastor: We believe in sowing seed to our local pastor, the one who is feeding us with the word of God and giving us guidance. We sow seed to our pastor because we love him, we love and appreciate the work he is doing in our lives. In Life Giving Faith Ministries International, we believe in honoring our father with the sincerity of heart financially and materially. As we learn from the book of 1 Corinthians 9: 11 – 13. It is a great blessing to honor your spiritual father with substance.
5. Thanksgiving: In this church, we believe in thanksgiving because we know that thanksgiving helps us to call God in the days of trouble so he can answer us. We believe that if God helped and protected us from the 1st of January until the 31st of December, we should therefore go to him with thanksgiving so that when we are again in a particular time of trouble, he can deliver us. We do this based on what the bible says in the book of Psalm 50: 14 – 15. In Life Giving Faith Ministries, we do our annual thanksgiving in a particular way, and a particular place every December.
6. Giving Sacrificially: We believe in giving to God sacrificially, because we learned it from our father Abraham as well as God himself. We believe that there are times in life when you will have to give to God sacrificially. We believe that this can really get someone out of trouble and can also allow the person to get to the next level of his or her life. It can also help a person who is stuck to get their breakthrough.
